As one person was leaving, another's back on "Criminal Minds". In the wake of Shemar Moore's departure last week, the show tried to heal fans' wounds by bringing back Paget Brewster, although only for a short while.

In "Tribute" that aired March 30, Brewster reprised her role as Emily Prentiss, who was tracking down an international serial killer. The BAU team decided to help Prentiss catch this copycat killer, while she faced her nightmares stemming from her guilt over the death of one of the serial killer's victims.

The team finally caught the killer in Chicago. When they returned, Garcia and Prentiss enjoyed the tequila that Morgan left behind from the Halloween bet in his old office. The episode ended with a warm family dinner with J.J., Rossi, Reid, Hotch and Tara joining too.

Moore previously explained that he decided to leave the show after 11 seasons to focus on having a family. "I love what I do for a living, I love it from 'action' to 'cut'," he told TVLine, "but I also want to walk my dogs, travel, get married, have kids. I want balance, and it's hard to do with the schedule that we have."

On the show, his character Morgan exited the BAU to focus more on his wife and kid after the near-death experience when he was abducted and tortured.
