"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" is bringing back a very familiar face for its upcoming episode. Richard Belzer, the original cast member who left the show in 2014, will be returning as Detective John Munch.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Richard will make a guest appearance in an upcoming episode slated in May, titled "Fashionable Crimes". In the episode, Munch will help the SVU squad solve the case of a young model who claims she was preyed upon by a famous fashion house photographer, played by Fisher Stevens. While the photographer had been on Munch and Fin's (Ice-T) radar for some time, they've never been able to make a case against him until now.

"We love having Richard back on set," executive producer Warren Leight tells the site, "This episode was perfect for Munch's cynical eye, and just the right time for him to give Benson [Mariska Hargitay], and Noah, some much needed support."

"Law & Order: SVU" Season 17 airs every Wednesday at 9 P.M. ET on NBC. The series has been renewed for an eighteenth season, with many hoping it will break the original "Law & Order" record of 20 seasons.
