"Inside Out" has been named Best Animated Feature Film at the 88th Annual Academy Awards. Producer Jonas Rivera and director director Pete Docter took the stage to the collect the statuettes and deliver the acceptance speech.

"We are so lucky. Not just us, but everyone in this room, because, regardless of a gold man or not, we get to make stuff," Docter said. It was his second Oscar after winning in 2009 for another Disney/Pixar movie, "Up".

Rivera added, "Right, we do. And on this film, every single storyboard, every single frame, cut, line of dialogue, every single pixel, was done by the amazing artists we work with at Pixar, led by John Lasseter. They should be up here with us tonight. We love them. Along with our amazing cast-best cast ever assembled, animated or otherwise-we love you." For Rivera, it was his first Academy Award although he also produced "Up".

The win gave the eighth Oscar for Pixar Animation Studios.

After the Animated Feature Film, the next winner to be announced was Best Supporting Actor category. Mark Rylance of "Bridge of Spies" surprisingly beat out other strong contenders, including Christian Bale ("The Big Short"), Tom Hardy ("The Revenant"), Mark Ruffalo ("Spotlight") and Sylvester Stallone ("Creed"), for the prize.

"I've always just adored stories: hearing them, seeing them, being in them," Rylance said in his speech. He thanked director Steven Spielberg, gushing, "Unlike some of the leaders we're being presented with these days, he leads with such love that he's surrounded by masters in every craft."

The 56-year-old added that acting alongside Tom Hanks "clearly helps," and concluded, "It's a wonderful time to be an actor and I'm proud to be part of it." It was the first Academy Award for Rylance, who won a BAFTA Award for the same role earlier this year.

Other winners already announced at the ceremony were Best Documentary Feature ("Amy"), Best Animated Short Film ("Bear Story") and Best Documentary Short Subject ("A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness").

Winners in top categories, including Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Actor, will be announced shortly. The 2016 Oscars is airing live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on ABC with Chris Rock hosting.
