Empire Magazine reveals the first great look at Frank Grillo's Crossbones in the upcoming third installment of the 'Captain America' film series.

Empire Magazine has unveiled the first great look at "Captain America: Civil War" new villain Crossbones, played by Frank Grillo. In the picture, the character looks badass, wearing masks with a big "X" written on his costume.
Crossbones is the superhero incarnation of Brock Rumlow, one of the rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives on the take for H.Y.D.R.A. in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". He's the guy who leads the attack on Captain America (Chris Evans) in the elevator. At the end, Brock suffered severe burns in the helicarrier crash which caused the facial cover-up.
While Crossbones' movie backstory differs from the comics, the character ultimately serves a pivotal role in the "Civil War" storyline as he's the one responsible for the assassination of Captain America.

The cover of the magazine shows Captain America in a battle with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). The headline reads, "It's War! Iron Man vs. Cap: Marvel's Mightiest Heroes Kick Off".
"Captain America: Civil War", also starring Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and Tom Holland, is set to throw its shield in the ring on May 6 in the States.
