Days after audio issues ruined her performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards, Adele delivered a flawless rendition of "All I Ask" during a visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". She also treated viewers to another song off her "25" album and had a chat with host Ellen DeGeneres about what went wrong at the event earlier this week in the Thursday, February 18 episode of the talk show.
Donning a long-sleeved black dress, the 27-year-old Brit kept things simple as she belted out the emotional ballad in a minimally-lit stage alongside a pianist. Meanwhile, she was joined on the stage by a full band and some backing vocalists during the performance of her current single, "When We Were Young".
In an interview with DeGeneres, Adele explained again how the incident at the Grammys happened. "Sound check was great - went really well. I was really excited and then during the changeover, the microphones fell onto the piano strings which is what the guitar noise was," she said, before admitting that she felt "embarrassed" and cried "all day" the next day. "But in fairness, I would have cried if it went really well... I always cry," she added.
