Fans weren't the only ones left disappointed over Adele's performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards earlier this week. During a visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", the singer opened up about how frustrated she was after audio issues occured while she was belting out the ballad "All I Ask".

In a preview for the episode set to air on Thursday, February 18, Adele explained to host Ellen DeGeneres how the mishap happened and how she dealt with the aftermath. "Sound check was great - went really well. I was really excited and then during the changeover, the microphones fell onto the piano strings which is what the guitar noise was," the 27-year-old singer said.

She went on revealing that she cried for an entire day after the incident. "I woke up the next morning to people in England being like, 'We still love you! Don't worry!' And I was like, 'I didn't ask you if you still loved me, but thanks.' I was so embarrassed," the singer recalled with a laugh before adding, "I cried pretty much all day yesterday."

Adele continued her performance following the technical issues. However, don't expect her to do the same if a similar incident happens in the future. "Next time I have any sound issues, I am gonna stop. I'll be like, 'Sorry, that's not working for me. If we have time to do it again, let's do it, otherwise, bye!' " she said.
