The 55-year-old star's representative took to Twitter to set the record straight, saying that Angela is still alive and surrounded by her family at a hospital in Manhattan.

AceShowbiz - "Mob Wives" star Angela Raiola a.k.a. "Big Ang" is still alive, despite report that the TV star passed away after battling a cancer. Her rep took to Twitter to clarify things, saying that Angela was still at a Manhattan hospital and surrounded by her family.

"This is a representative of Angela's social media. The news that has been reported is TOTALLY INACCURATE. Please respect her family, and their privacy at this time," her rep said on Twitter. "All of the media outlets curently reporting this are reporting FALSE INFORMATION. No direct information has been given anytime soon."

According to a family member, Angela's estranged husband Neil Murphy was also there to support her. "Angela is still in the hospital surrounded by her loved ones, and is fighting," her rep continued.

The 55-year-old star was diagnosed with throat cancer back in April 2015. She had been undergoing chemotheraphy, but this winter she learned that the disease had spread to her brain and lungs.

Earlier this week while appearing on "The Dr. Oz Show", Angela said doctors told her that she only had 30 percent chance of survival. "It's shocking what happened," she said. "First I thought I was cancer-free. I was gonna have a big celebration ... and then a month later I was stage 4."

Model Carmen Carrera, Angela's collaborator on "Couple's Therapy", also debunked the false reports of her friend's passing. "She's still breathing. She's off the breathing machine because of her ammonia. The doctor is only giving her a few hours," Carmen told PEOPLE. "She was so close to all of us. We are so sad right now." She also hoped that fans would "pray for a miracle instead of gossiping."
