A bus blown up on the Lambeth Bridge in London for a movie titled 'The Foreigner' has caused a big explosion and confused public.

AceShowbiz - A big explosion on the Lambeth Bridge in London sparked controversy. Many Londoners were shocked and confused when a double decker bus suddenly went up in flames on Sunday, February 7. As concerns arose, the Port of London Authority quickly assured that it was only a stunt for movie and the bridge had been closed off.

The explosion was indeed staged for a movie called "The Foreigner" starring Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan. Before the stunt, producers posted on Twitter, "The explosion is controlled and operated by our special effects team. Every precaution will be taken to ensure the safety of the people in the area."

Public complained on Twitter that they had not been adequately warned and children had been scared of the explosion. Some even pointed out that it resembled the infamous 2005 attack on London's transport system that included a bus explosion and killed more than 50 people. They were perplexed that it was given a go by authorities.

Conservative MP for Mid Worcestershire Nigel Huddleston said to Sky News, "Some may fear it was for real if far enough away not to see the cameras and crew. They did notify locals by putting notices in flats and offices etc. But given the size of the explosion I'm sure many tourists and some locals must have been worried. Twitter worked pretty well in clarifying it was for a film pretty quickly. But not everyone is on Twitter."
