Showtime has released the first teaser for "Penny Dreadful" season 3. Featuring the returning characters including Vanessa (Eva Green), Ethan (Josh Hartnett), Lily (Billie Piper), Dorian (Reeve Carney) and The Creature (Rory Kinnear), the video teases new evil that Vanessa is battling against in the upcoming installment of the horror series.

Apparently locked up in a white, padded room, Vanessa tells someone unseen, "Two brothers, fallen from grace. The spirit and the animal. You seek my soul. You my body. But both are promised to another." She's later seen fiercely attacking a man in the room.

At the Television Critics Association's press tour on Tuesday, January 12, Showtime announced season 3 of "Penny Dreadful" would premiere Sunday, May 1 at 10 P.M. ET. The network also revealed the return date of its comedy "House of Lies". The fifth season of the sitcom will kick off Sunday, April 10 at 9 P.M. ET and will include an episode shot in Cuba.

Meanwhile, Showtime CEO David Nevins shared an update on "Twin Peaks" revival. "I'm excited to share that ['Twin Peaks' creator] David Lynch is more than halfway through shooting schedule, and it will premiere in the first half of 2017," he said.
