The British band plans to bring out the two ladies, whom they've collaborated with in the past, to make 'an amazing and unforgettable show.'

AceShowbiz - For Coldplay, topping Katy Perry's headlining set at the Super Bowl earlier this year might be difficult. But the British band, who's taking over the big game's halftime show next February, has reportedly enlisted the help of two big names in music to make it possible.

According to The Daily Mirror, both Beyonce Knowles and Rihanna are now in talks to join Chris Martin and Co. at the upcoming gig. "Beyonce and Rihanna are both keen to join in the high-profile ceremony and will add just the spark needed to make it an amazing and unforgettable show," said an insider.

"Chris and his band know they're not typically as showy as recent performers like Katy Perry and Madonna with all the dancers and, while they love a light show, they still want to bring a few surprises out," the insider added.

Coldplay is no stranger to collaborating with the two ladies. Beyonce appears on "Hymn for the Weekend" off the band's latest album, "A Head Full of Dreams". RiRi, meanwhile, worked with the group on the "Mylo Xyloto" single "Princess of China".

The Super Bowl 50 is set to take place on February 7 at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
