AceShowbiz - Kara Royster has joined the cast of "Pretty Little Liars" to play the role of Yvonne Phillips, the mystery woman Toby (Keegan Allen) met before a five-year time jump. According to Variety, Yvonne will appear in three episodes, starting with the fourth episode of season 6B.
The character has been teased as a potential love interest for Toby and she is likely to be "a very important part of his life." Yvonne is also described as smart, sleek and classy.
The second-half of the sixth season takes place after the five-year time jump. With Toby and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) splitting up, a new chapter of Toby's life begins. Spencer went to school at Georgetown and moved to Capitol Hill to pursue her political aspirations, while Toby ended up inheriting money after his house was blown up. Toby then bought three acres of land to build a huge dream home right outside of Rosewood.
According to Allen, who played the beloved cop Toby, the character meets the mystery girl when he handles a robbery. Creator Marlene King previously offered some details about what happened to Toby after the breakup. "He's extremely involved with someone, other than Spencer," King said. "We'll find out early on that with two people who grew apart, but still love each other so very much, this is the first person he's really been able to care about since he and Spencer grew apart."
"PLL" returns January 12 at 8 P.M. on ABC Family, which will change its name into Freeform beginning in 2016.
