With 790,000 in pure album sales, Adele's first full-length in four years becomes the first and only album in Nielsen's era to sell more than 695,000 copies in four different weeks.

AceShowbiz - As industry forecasters have predicted, Adele's "25" keeps its position steady at No. 1 on Billboard 200. The record is now spending its fourth week atop the list with 825,000 equivalent album units collected in the week ending on December 17, Nielsen Music reports.

With 790,000 in pure album sales, it becomes the first and only album in Nielsen's era to sell more than 695,000 copies in four different weeks. It debuted last month with record-breaking 3.38 million, followed by 1.11 million in week two and 695,000 in its week three.

"25" has sold a total of 5.98 million copies in its first four weeks on sale, easily surpassing the 5.57 million sales of Taylor Swift's "1989". It's now the biggest-selling album released in the U.S. since Adele's previous masterpiece, "21", which has sold 11.37 million so far. The 2011 project this week returns to Billboard 200's top 10, sitting at No. 10 with 49,000 units.

Other titles in the top 10 include Justin Bieber's "Purpose" and Pentatonix's "That's Christmas to Me" which rise one rung to No. 2 and No. 3 with 166,000 and 141,000, respectively. Closing out the top 5 are One Direction's "Made in the A.M.", ascending four rungs to No. 4 with 67,000, and The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness", jumping from last week's No. 10 with 63,000.

Chris Stapleton's "Traveller" bows at No. 6 with 62,000 and Coldplay's "A Head Full of Dreams" falls from No. 2 to No. 7 with 61,000 units in its second week. Michael Buble's "Christmas" and Swift's "1989" both return to the top 10, as the former lands at No. 8 with 50,000 units while the latter is at No. 9 with 49,000 units.
