Dierks Bentley has been recruited to replace Blake Shelton as Luke Bryan's new ACM Awards co-host. Both Dierks and Luke make the announcement on Twitter along with a hilarious announcement video on Facebook.
Luke writes, "Excited to let y'all know that my buddy @DierksBentley will be co-hosting the 51st @ACMawards with me." Dierks, meanwhile, posted a picture of him and Luke drinking beer, captioning it, "I'll be joining my friend @LukeBryanOnline to co-host the the 51st @ACMawards!"
The video, featuring Dierks' hit song "Drunk on a Plane" and Hot Country Knights alter egos, opens with Luke looking for new partner after Blake stepped down as his co-host. Dierks then enters a Country music club where Luke is drinking and met him.
Luke tells Dierks, "Dierks, oh my God! That's it! I've been looking for someone all the day and you walked in the balk." "For what?" asks Dierks, to which Luke replies, "What are you doing on April 3rd?" Dierks says, "I think I'm around." Luke adds, "You got a good suit?" "I got a great suit," says Dierks after changing his outfit. "Then let's go to Vegas and host the ACM together," Luke tells Dierks.
"Dierks Bentley, I hope you're ready to co-host the 51st ACM - Academy of Country Music Awards with me. Be sure to mark April 3rd on your calendars now," Luke captions the video.
