Rose Siggins, who is best known for her role as the Legless Suzi on "American Horror Story: Freak Show", died in a Denver hospital on Saturday morning, December 12 at the age of 43. Her rep tells TMZ that the actress underwent a kidney stone surgery on Monday.
According to her rep, Rose contracted an infection, which spread through her body and eventually became fatal. The actress was born with a rare genetic disorder called sacral agenesis and suffered from kidney and pancreas issues her whole life.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to defray Rose's medical expenses and to help support her children Luke and Shelby. Rose's manager James Mullen wrote on the page, "I suppose Elsa Mars said it best: 'The death of a beloved monster is always a sorrow, but never a surprise. If oddly formed organs or a random physical anomaly doesn't claim them, then it is at the sheer density of their blaze. A carny's life burns and brighter than most. It is bound to extinguish sooner.' "
Rose's "AHS" co-star Naomi Grossman paid tribute to the late actress on Twitter by posting a throwback photo of them.
