The 'Nothing Compares 2 U' singer raises concerns after she claimed to 'have taken an overdose' following a family betrayal.

AceShowbiz - Sinead O'Connor has been found "safe and sound" after a suicide scare. According to BreakingNews.ie, the "Nothing Compares 2 U" hitmaker has received medical assistance after police was able to locate her following an alarming note she posted on Facebook.

"There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear. What was done to me this week was appalling cruelty," the Irish singer began her message, adding that she was betrayed by her family, left to recover alone after a hysterectomy, and banned from seeing her children.

"The last two nights finished me off," the 48-year-old musician wrote. "I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I'm at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name. If I wasn't posting this, my kids and family wouldn't even find out."

"Because apparently I'm scum and deserve to be abandoned and treated like s**t just when I've had my womb and ovaries chopped out and my child is frighteningly sick," she added. "Well done guys, you've finally got rid of me. Sorry the penny didn't drop sooner. I'm an idiot."

Sinead O'Connor revealed her health issue earlier this year and announced her plan to cancel her tour because one of her children was "suffering with a life-threatening medical condition." She recently swore off music, "Music is over for me. Music did this. Rendered me invisible even unto my children. Murdered my soul. I'm never going back to music."
