Following some new TV spots, the first clip of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has made its way online. The clip is an extended look at a scene which appears in previous trailers. It gives a look at Daisy Ridley's Rey and John Boyega's Finn on Jakku along with the beloved ball droid BB-8.

The 15-second video sees Rey, Finn and BB-8 trying to avoid the attack from enemies, who attempt to shoot them. They run towards a Quad Jumper because they think it can help them escape. Finn screams that they'll need someone to pilot the vehicle, but unfortunately the enemies shoot it and the vehicle explodes.

The clip was debuted at the American Music Awards on November 22. At the event, Harrison Ford introduced a musical tribute to composer John Williams from a cappella group Pentatonix. "Many of you know composer John Williams' name, but one thing's for sure, all movie fans know his music," Ford said. The group performed a medley of Williams' "Star Wars" music.

"The Force Awakens" also stars Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis and Domhnall Gleeson. Directed by J.J. Abrams, the seventh episode of "Star Wars" movie franchise will hit U.S. theaters on December 18.
