"Supergirl" is staging a "Glee" reunion. The show has tapped Melissa Benoist's former "Glee" co-star Blake Jenner, who also happens to be her real-life husband, to portray a potential new love interest for her character Kara.
Jenner is cast as Adam Foster, a handsome stranger from Cat Grant's (Calista Flockhart) past whose arrival in National City tests Kara and Cat's relationship like never before, TVLine reports. At the same time, Adam and Kara form a very unexpected connection.
Jenner is booked for multiple episodes and will first appear in an episode airing in early 2016.
Benoist and Jenner met on the set of "Glee" where they played freshmen New Direction members in the fourth season of the FOX musical drama. Their characters had an on-/off-romance, but they didn't end up together. In real life, Benoist and Jenner got engaged in 2013 and secretly tied the knot in March 2015.
"Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8/7c on CBS.
