Cecily Strong delivers a message of support on behalf of 'SNL' crew members at the opening segment.

AceShowbiz - In the wake of the devastating terrorist attacks in Paris, "Saturday Night Live" opened with a somber tone. Wearing all black, Cecily Strong delivered a message of support for the victims in English and French, "Paris is the City of Light, and here in New York City, we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you."

The November 14 episode was hosted by Elizabeth Banks. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, part 2" actress poked fun at herself by taking over the directing, telling the camera crew what to do, and demanding special effects during her monologue as a sly reference to her commercially-successful "Pitch Perfect 2" directorial debut.

The actress-turned-director later took part in a hilarious Kenan Thompson-hosted "Black Jeopardy" where she never got the answer right until she said, "No matter what I do, I can't win." She also joined a high school theatre show where the show at one point seemingly invited Caitlyn Jenner to come to the show by showing a chair reserved for her.
