'American Idol' final season will debut on January 6 while 'Sleepy Hollow' will move to Friday.

AceShowbiz - Gearing up to welcome a new year, FOX has announced the winter premiere dates for its shows. The network's midseason slate kicks off on Sunday, January 3 with new comedy "Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life" and fresh animated satire "Bordertown" joining returning animations "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy".
Andy Samberg's sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine", therefore, is now pushed to Tuesday at 9 P.M., after "New Girl" which will begin its new season in a new 8 P.M. timeslot and "Grandfathered" at 8:30 P.M. "The Grinder" is also moving to a new timeslot at 9:30 P.M. Also getting a new timeslot is "Sleepy Hollow" which will air on Friday at 8 P.M. starting February 5.
The 15th and last season of "American Idol" will launch with a two-night four-hour event on Wednesday, January 6 and Thursday, January 7 beginning at 8 P.M. As revealed before, "The X-Files" revival will debut with a two-night event on Sunday, January 24 and Monday, January 25. The show will be followed by freshman "Lucifer" on Monday at 9 P.M.
Another rookie, "Second Chance" (previously called "Frankenstein Code" and "Lookinglass") will debut Wednesday, January 13 at 9 P.M. "Gotham", meanwhile, returns on Monday, February 29, while "Empire" is back on Wednesday, March 30.
