David Bowie to Release New Album 'Blackstar' on 69th Birthday

The 'Valentine's Day' singer is rumored to roll out his first studio album since 2013's 'The Next Day'.

AceShowbiz - David Bowie is reportedly preparing a new album for release early next year. According to The Times of London, the English singer/songwriter will release a new studio album, titled "Blackstar", on January 8, 2016 when he turns 69 years old.

Th album was reportedly recorded with a group of jazz musicians at New York's Magic Shop and features seven songs. It will mark his first release since his 2013 CD, "The Next Day", which reached No. 1 in U.K. and No. 2 in Billboard Hot 200, his highest chart position in U.S.

Early this month, Bowie teased the title track which becomes the theme for "The Last Panthers", a crime drama on Great Britain's Sky Atlantic. The song reportedly will serve as the lead single of his new album and will be released November 19.
