AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Carey Mulligan and her husband Marcus Mumford who have officially become parents. The celebrity couple has welcomed their first child together. "Carey has given birth to a healthy and happy baby," a source has been quoted as telling E! News. "She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends."
Details of Mulligan's newborn baby were not revealed though. It was also not known on when the baby was born. The actress herself, who is extremely private about her personal life, has not yet talked to the media about her bundle of joy.
On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Mulligan made her first red carpet appearance since giving birth at the British Film Institute's London Film Festival. She was at the event to promote Focus Features new film "Suffragette".
Walking the red carpet solo, Mulligan looked stylish wearing a baggy top and a colorful knee-length skirt. The new mom posed alongside co-star Meryl Streep, director Sarah Gavron, screenwriter Abi Morgan and producers Alison Owen and Faye Ward.
