Cosmopolitan magazine is under fire for labeling the Jenner-Kardashian ladies "America's First Family" on the cover of its November issue. Many people took to Twitter on Monday, October 5 to express their discontent over the label given to Kim Kardashian's family and ask the magazine to respect the "real" America's first family which is Barack Obama's.
Twitter users mostly posted either Cosmopolitan's cover or the Obamas' pictures along with their critiques to the magazine. Grammy Award-winning singer Melanie Fiona called out the magazine as she re-tweeted some snaps of the Obamas alongside the caption, "America's First Family. The Obamas."

Weighing in on the same subject, the official Twitter account of BET posted the Obamas' picture and wrote, "America's First Family. (Just for the record)." User @herndon_a also posted another snap of the Obamas and captioned it, "This Is America's First Family Not The Kardashians Get It Together." Another user @michaelamcm tweeted, "Cosmopolitan calling the Kardashians America's first family is everything that is wrong with America."
