The author of genre-twisting novel 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' is reportedly in final talks to write and direct the superhero movie.

AceShowbiz - Producers are eying Seth Grahame-Smith to gear up "The Flash" movie. The director, best known for his novels "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter", is in talks to write and direct the standalone Flash movie.
The project actually had received a treatment from "The Lego Movie" directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller but the duo chose to concentrate on Han Solo standalone "Star Wars" movie instead. Per THR, producers were forced to find a new scribe and director as the two exited.
Grahame-Smith is not so odd a choice. He wrote the script to "Lego Movie" spin-off "The Lego Batman Movie" which is scheduled to be released in February 2017. Should a deal is struck, "The Flash" would be his feature film directorial debut. He previously directed episodes of MTV's "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" which he co-created with David Katzenberg.
"The Flash" movie is a separate project from The CW series of the same name. Ezra Miller has been tapped to don the red suit and appear in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" as well as "Justice League Part One". The Flash movie is scheduled for release on March 3, 2018.
