Mulder calls his old partner, Scully, when a new mystery arises and requires their expertise in the case that involves conspiracy.

AceShowbiz - FOX has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated "The X-Files" revival. Released in two parts during the airing of "Gotham" and "Minority Report", the promo opens with Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) saying, "In 2002 my investigation ceased, but my personal obsession did not."

Mulder is told that he's close to whatever he's trying to find out and later admits, "Our work is the key. ... I can't do this alone alone." Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) is later seen receiving a phone call from Mulder as he drops by her place.

The second part continues with the two already back working together. There's an explosion, flashback scenes showing soldiers in an open field with one of them carrying what looks like an alien, and many more.

"The X-Files" six-episode event series will debut with a two-night premiere on Sunday, January 24 and Monday, January 25 on FOX. Besides Duchovny and Anderson, the likes of Annabeth Gish, Mitch Pileggi, William B. Davis, Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood and Bruce Harwood return to reprise their respective roles.

Joel McHale joins the cast as Tad O'Malley, a conservative Internet news anchor who becomes an unlikely ally to Mulder, while Annet Mahendru stars as Sveta, a possible alien abductee.
