Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas will be back on "Scream Queens" whether fans like it or not. The new FOX series included the two pop stars on the Tuesday, September 22 premiere and will host them again in future episodes although their fate seemed pretty sealed the first time.

Grande played Chanel No. 2 who [Spoiler Alert] was killed within the first hour. She was stabbed in the head while trying to tweet about her attack by masked killer the Red Devil. Her body was then tossed in the meat locker but no one knew for sure whether or not she was dead.

"She comes back I believe in episode 6 and maybe more," series co-creator Ryan Murphy told EW. "She's recurring definitely. Everyone thinks she's gone but she's not gone." On how she would return, Murphy would not elaborate. "I wouldn't say ghost. Nothing you think is happening is happening on the show. You think some people are dead - they're not dead," he noted.

Meanwhile, Jonas played a gay frat bro name Boone who was left for fake dead. He was the one whose return was expected when viewers found out that he knew the serial killer. "I can tell you that he is a part of the team of people involved in this master revenge plan," said Jonas. "His history with it goes very, very deep."

Murphy said Boone will look a little different upon his return. "One of my favorite things is that he's spying and traveling around the campus dressed incognito as Joaquin Phoenix," Murphy said.
