AceShowbiz - Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn heat up a new promo for "Scandal" season 5. Their characters Olivia Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant are seen kissing in a steamy sex scene in the video.
As the two get together again, it won't end well for his marriage with Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young). The president is seen serving divorce papers on the First Lady. "I'm divorcing you," Fitz tells a speechless Mellie.
The love affair aside, Olivia will be busy reconstituting her team. Asked who fill the vacancies after Abby (Darby Stanchfield) left for the White House and Harrison (Columbus Short) died, series creator Shonda Rhimes tells TVLine, "I honestly don't know."
"Scandal" returns Thursday, September 24 at 9 P.M. on ABC. Mia Maestro is added to the cast in a recurring role, while Portia de Rossi and Cornelius Smith Jr. are promoted to series regulars for the new season.
