Movie

The 'White House Down' actor is in talks to star in the action crime movie, joining the likes of Ansel Elgort and Lily James.

AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx is in negotiations to join the cast of action crime movie "Baby Driver", Deadline reports. The film follows a mute getaway driver who relies on his personal soundtrack to optimize his driving skills.

Foxx will join Ansel Elgort ("The Fault in Our Stars"), who stars as the young talented driver who suffers from a condition that leaves a constant ringing in his ears. He finds himself in trouble after he is forced by a crime boss (Foxx) to be the getaway driver for a group of bank robbers.

Lily James is also in the cast, playing a waitress at a diner who becomes the central character's love interest. Edgar Wright will write and direct the movie while Nira Park, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce. Production is expected to start later this year with Sony recently announcing that the film will arrive in the U.S. on March 17, 2017.

Foxx had four movies last year including "Rio 2", "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", "Horrible Bosses 2" and "Annie". He is currently filming "Sleepless Night", a remake of 2011's French film "Nuit Blanche" about an undercover police who digs into a nightclub to find his kidnapped son.
