The first trailer for "The Danish Girl" is unleashed for viewing pleasure. It gives a glimpse at the emotional journey of Eddie Redmayne's Lili Elbe, a woman trapped inside a man's body. It all starts with a harmless game that she plays with her artist wife (Alicia Vikander).
She would dress up as a woman to pose as a model for her wife's sketch and they started to go out together as two female friends. One day, she caught a man's attention and kissed him, shocking her wife. "I think Lili's thoughts," she said. "I dream her dreams. She was always there."
Based on the true story of Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener, the movie is directed by Tom Hooper. Supported by Amber Heard and Ben Whishaw, it will screen at film festivals this fall before playing in limited theaters in the U.S. starting November 27.
