'Star Trek Beyond' Video Reveals New Alien
Movie

A new official video for the third installment of 'Star Trek' movie series gives a look at a new alien which presumably belongs to a species called Talaxian.

AceShowbiz - The "Star Trek Beyond" cast members have been busy promoting their charity program, in which they collaborate with Omaze. To promote the charity fundraiser, they recorded videos on the Enterprise set and sometimes used them to tease details about the upcoming film. The latest video narrated by Simon Pegg gives a look at a new alien head, which presumably will appear in the movie.

The video features the cast members having great times on the set of the movie and also shows behind-the-scenes footage. While they are goofing around on the set, a crew member quietly walks into the frame, holding the bust of the alien.

The facial structures of the alien indicate that it belongs to the species of Talaxian, just like Neelix from "Star Trek: Voyager". However, there are some noticeable differences. The ears don't look quite the same as Neelix's ears and the Talaxians usually have hair while the alien which appears in the video is bald.

"Star Trek Beyond" will follow the Enterprise crew on their five-year mission. Pegg and Doug Jung write the script while J.J. Abrams, who directed the last two films, is producing. Pegg is joined by the likes of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, John Cho, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Sofia Boutella and Idris Elba. The sci-fi movie is slated for a release in the U.S. on July 8, 2016.
