The former WWE wrestler says in an interview with 'Good Morning America', 'I was at the lowest point of my life, to the point where I wanted to kill myself.'

AceShowbiz - Hulk Hogan admitted that the recent racism allegation was the hardest time in his life. In his first public interview since the release of the N-word-filled excerpt, the former WWE wrestler told "Good Morning America" on Monday, August 31 that he once thought about ending his own life because of the scandal.

"Out of everything that I've been through, this one hit me probably the hardest," Hogan said. "I was at the lowest point of my life, to the point where I wanted to kill myself." He then described how terrible his situation was. "I was completely broken and destroyed and said, 'What's the easiest way out of this?' I mean, I was lost," he continued.

Despite the N-word Hogan used during the taped conversation with her daughter, he denied being racist. "I'm not a racist but I never should have said what I said. It was wrong. I'm embarrassed by it," he said. "People need to realize that you inherit things from your environment. And where I grew up was south Tampa, Port Tampa, and it was a really rough neighborhood, very low income. And all my friends, we greeted each other saying that word."

For people who might get hurt because of what he said, Hogan asked for forgiveness. "Oh, my gosh. Please forgive me. Please forgive me," he said. "I think if you look at the whole picture of who Hulk Hogan is, you can see over all the years that there's not a racist bone in my body." The "Thunder in Paradise" actor tried to convince that he's not bad guy as saying, "I'm a nice guy. It's not, you know, not the Hulk Hogan that rips a shirt off and bang, bang, bang, slams giants, you know? I'm Terry Bollea."
