Instead of leaving a trail of yellow lightning, The Flash sparks a blue streak when he's racing around the globe.

A new international promo for "The Flash" season 2 has revealed something fresh. Usually leaving a trail of yellow lighting, the titular superhero is seen in the video sparking a blue streak when he uses his super-speed power to run across the globe.

While this could mean that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will have upgraded power, there's another speculation that has been floating around the web. The blue streak could be not originated from Barry, but from another speedster which will be introduced in the second season.

As it has been reported before, the new season of the show will feature Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) who in the comic books is the original Flash, Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), and Jesse Quick (Violett Beane).

Executive producer Gabrielle Stanton has assured fans that despite the arrival of multiple speedsters, Barry would still be the focus of the show. "It's always Barry's journey. The Flash is always about Barry, but these people who come in will show us different ways that The Flash can be," he told TVLine.

A new set photo recently showed Jay Garrick getting cozy with Caitlyn Snow (Danielle Panabaker) in a car. Another photo, meanwhile, teased the possible first look at a female Doctor Light, though a casting for the character had never been announced.

"The Flash" returns Tuesday, October 6 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
