Chelsea O'Donnell made her own decision to leave the talk show host's home in New Jersey on her 18th birthday.

AceShowbiz - Rosie O'Donnell once again lost her adopted daughter. Chelsea O'Donnell has moved out of the talk show host's home in South Nyack to live with her birth mother.

According to several reports, Chelsea left home on Monday, August 24 on her 18th birthday, making it legal for her to make her own decisions. She was picked up by Deanna Micoley who gave her up for adoption in 1997. Deanna drove all the way from a remote town in Wisconsin to South Nyack.

Rosie reportedly tried to prevent Chelsea from leaving, threatening to cut her off financially but she went anyway. "Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother. This was her choice," a representative of Rosie told the Daily News.

Chelsea previously went missing on August 11 and Rosie issued a public plea for anyone to find her. Described as mentally ill, Chelsea was found by police in the Barnegat Township, New Jersey. She was with a man named Steven Sheerer who had a history with drugs and child endangerment. Steven was arrested afterwards for sending Chelsea a naked picture of himself.

Chelsea is Rosie's daughter with her former partner Kelli Carpenter. The actress had admitted to having a difficult relationship with Chelsea and said that she encouraged the teen to track down her birth mother. "No mom is perfect - we all do our best," Rosie tweeted after Chelsea was found last week.
