Comedian Rosie O'Donnell confirms that one of her adopted daughters was arrested again on drug offenses after she was bailed out of prison by her birth mother.

AceShowbiz - Actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell is once again dealing with the aftermath of her daughter Chelsea's ongoing battle with drug addiction, following the young woman's third arrest in the last three months.

The latest incident occurred on November 18 in Wisconsin's Marinette County where Chelsea O'Donnell, 27, was apprehended on multiple felony charges. These charges include two counts of possession of methamphetamine, one count of possession of narcotic drugs, and two counts of bail jumping.

Additionally, Chelsea faces four misdemeanor charges for resisting or obstructing a police officer, possession of an illegally obtained prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rosie O'Donnell responded to the situation via Instagram on December 3, expressing her hopes for Chelsea's recovery. "So yes, this is true," she captioned a screenshot of a reporter's inquiry about the arrest.

"After being bailed out by her birth mother - Chelsea was arrested again - and is facing many charges related to her drug addiction. We all hope she is able to get the help she needs to turn her life around - #drug-addiction #tragic #sadness #truth."

This series of arrests began on September 10 and continued with another on October 11. During this period, Chelsea faced similar charges related to drug possession and child neglect. She was released from Marinette County Jail on a $2,000 bond on September 24 but was soon re-arrested in October and booked into Oconto County Jail.

The O'Donnell family has publicly acknowledged Chelsea's decade-long struggle with addiction. In a statement to People in October, the family said, "Sadly, this is not new for our family. Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade - we are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease."

Rosie herself has been vocal about her daughter's difficulties and has shared moments of hope with her followers. "Chelsea is in the news today - this is a photo from a better time," she posted in October, along with a picture of Chelsea holding a newborn baby. "Sadly this is not new for our family. Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade - we are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease."

Rosie adopted Chelsea with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, and the couple also adopted sons Parker and Blake and daughter Vivienne. Rosie has another daughter, Dakota, adopted with her second wife, Michelle Rounds.

For those struggling with substance abuse, Rosie and many others urge to seek help. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) helpline at 1-800-662-HELP is available for support.
