The first season finale of "Mr. Robot" will not arrive as scheduled. USA Network announced on Wednesday, August 26 that the season finale is postponed to September 2 as it includes a scene with similarities to the Roanoke, Virginia murders that happened the day the episode was supposed to air.

"The previously filmed season finale of 'Mr. Robot' contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today's tragic events in Virginia," the network said in a statement. "Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight's episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."

On early Wednesday, two employees of WDBJ-TV in Franklin County, Virgina were shot to death on air. Reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward were killed by a former reporter for the Roanoke station Vester L. Flanagan II who went under the name Bryce Williams. Vicki Gardner, the individual who was being interviewed by Parker, was also shot and is in stable condition after undergoing surgery.

Flanagan later shot and killed himself after troops closed in on him. "I've been a human powder keg for a while....just waiting to go BOOM," Flanagan sent a message before his suicide.
