Maisie Williams on Filming Her First Sex Scene: 'It Was Extremely Awkward!'

The 'Game of Thrones' actress shared her experience in doing her first scene ever, saying that she was glad her co-star 'was so considerate.'

AceShowbiz - Starring in a new indie flick "The Falling", %cMaisie Williams% seemed to get a brand new experience. The "Game of Thrones" actress opened up in a recent interview with Vulture about her first-ever sex scene.

In the movie, Williams portrays a student at an all-girls boarding school in 1960s England. There is a scene where Williams' character Lydia loses her virginity, which means that the 16-year-old actress has to do her first sex scene with her co-star %cJoe Cole%.

"It was extremely awkward! But Joe was very sensitive to the fact that I had never done a scene like this before, and it was great to work with someone who was so considerate of that," she shared.

Williams seemed to prepare for the role very well as she made some plans to get to know Cole better in order to grow the chemistry between them. "We went out for a couple of lunches and stuff just to get to know each other, and we had days of rehearsal where we'd get to know our characters and spend a couple of hours with each other. So I knew him quite well, and we got along quite well. It all paid off in the end," she said.

Back in July, the young actress also talked about the difficulties she encountered when she had to do that kind of scene. "I was only just 16, so it was quite a big deal. And I guess you just work through it like any other scene and you rehearse, and then you shoot it!" Williams said, contrasting it with other experiences. "We watch them on TV and we're just like, yeah whatever. But when you actually in that position, you're like, s**t this is a really big deal!" she joked.

However, Williams is happy to star in the movie because it can be a perfect medium to prove herself as an actress. "The reason I wanted to play Lydia in the first place was that she's such a different character than Arya," she stated.
