Mowgli Staring Down Jungle Cat in New 'Jungle Book' Poster
Movie

The young boy played by Neel Sethi is deep in the jungle joined by a jungle cat and a giant snake in the new image.

AceShowbiz - A better look at Mowgli (Neel Sethi) in "The Jungle Book" was revealed in a new poster at D23 Expo. The young boy is seen having a stare-down with a giant jungle cat while a snake, possibly Kaa the python (voiced by Scarlett Johansson), wraps itself around a branch above them.

Disney also debuted footage at the fan-centric event in Anaheim. It begins with a narration by Kaa, "Far from the dark of the jungle, men stay in their village. But sometimes they travel, and their caves breathe in the dark. It brings warmth and light and protection." Mowgli's discovery by Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) is shown.

A tiger, presumably Shere Khan voiced by Idris Elba, then tells Mowgli, "The jungle is no longer safe, I'll return you to where you belong." He chases the boy off a small cliff. There is also a glimpse at Bill Murray's Baloo the bear humming "Bare Necessities" to Mowgli and Christopher Walken's King Louie the orangutan introducing himself.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the remake is scheduled to make its way out in the United States on April 15, 2016. The director was present the Disney panel along with Sethi, Kingsley, and Lupita Nyong'o.
