Lucy Hale is not quitting "Pretty Little Liars" despite reports stating otherwise. The actress herself has taken to Twitter to clarify the rumors as writing, "Just to clarify ... I am not leaving PLL!! All these rumors. I'm with the show until the 7th and last season."

Rumors ran rampant that the Aria depicter would leave the ABC Family series after V magazine quoted her as saying, "I'll be done next October with ['Pretty Little Liars'] forever, which is exciting, but also scary at the same time, because it's the next chapter of my life and so I'm really looking forward to exploring different and darker roles."

However, the magazine failed to mention that Hale believed the show would end after the upcoming seventh season, because it's currently contracted for seven seasons. Recently, executive producer I. Marlene King and Hale's co-star Shay Mitchell said that the teen drama series could be granted an eighth season.

Nothing is official yet regarding the possible eighth season. Should the show be renewed for another season, the main stars will likely renegotiate their deals with the studio and the network.

Hale and other main stars of "Pretty Little Liars" are currently filming season 6B, which is slated to air in early 2016. The seventh and suppossedly final season, meanwhile, is expected to premiere in fall 2016.
