'True Blood' Alum Brit Morgan Joins 'Supergirl' as DC Villain Livewire

The Debbie Pelt of 'True Blood' is tapped to portray Leslie Willis who will face off Melissa Benoist's titular character.

AceShowbiz - "Supergirl" has added Brit Morgan to the cast ensemble. The actress known for her role as Debbie Pelt, the erratic ex-girlfriend of Joe Manganiello's Alcide, on "True Blood" is cast as DC Comics villain Livewire also known as Leslie Willis.

According to Variety, Leslie is a confident, abrasive, and funny shock-jock who works for CatCo Media, the conglomerate owned by Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart). When an accident makes her as dangerous and shocking as her words, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must stop her.

The new series will debut October 26. It is supported by Peter Facinelli, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, Laura Benanti, and Owain Yeoman among others.

"Supergirl" tells the story of Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El, who also lands on Earth after escaping Krypton. She's been hiding the powers she shares with Superman, but later decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.
