Dr. Dre lets fans take a peek into his long-awaited new album, which will also come as the soundtrack to "Straight Outta Compton". A song which will likely appear on the record is previewed in a new clip released via Beats by Dre's Twitter account on Wednesday, August 5 to promote the upcoming N.W.A biopic.

The one-and-a-half-minute clip sees some Compton rappers and athletes like DJ Quik, YG, Boogie, Marcellus Wiley and Jeron Johnson talking about what it's like to come from and grow up in the iconic city. While they talk to the camera, a brand new song is played in the background. Towards the end, viewers can hear Dre himself rapping.

Dre's much-anticipated final album, called "Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre", is scheduled to come out on Friday, August 7. In addition to the rap mogul, the project includes contributions from Ice Cube, Kendrick Lamar, Xzibit, Jill Scott, Snoop Dogg, The Game and Eminem.

"I was leaving the set, going to the studio, and I felt myself just being so inspired by the movie that I started recording an album," Dre said of the LP when announcing it during his Beats 1 radio show over the weekend. "I kept it under wraps, and now the album is finished. It's bananas. It's gonna be my grande finale."

Meanwhile, "Straight Outta Compton" is hitting U.S. theaters on August 14.
