Only two episodes left in the second season of "True Detective", the main characters' next move becomes a big question. In a preview for the penultimate episode, someone asks Frank, "What are you planning, Frank?" He's also seen pondering about their "secret war" in the last six months.
Meanwhile, Ani recalls the creepy sex party which she fortunately managed to escape. "It was bad in there," she describes the awful experience. She, however, gets closer to the truth behind Casper's death. Whatever she does next, she better remembers her estranged father's advice to "stay safe and stay alive."
Elsewhere, Paul declares his intention to become "a good man," and Ray knows they need an "exit strategy."
"Black Maps and Motel Rooms" airs Sunday, August 2 at 9/8c on HBO. The season finale will air a week later.
