'The X-Files' Recruits Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose as New Agents

The 'Flash' actor and the 'Six Feet Under' actress will appear on the upcoming reboot as agents Miller and Einstein respectively.

AceShowbiz - Mulder and Scully will be joined by two new agents on "The X-Files" revival. It has been revealed that Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose will portray Agent Miller and Agent Einstein respectively. They, however, will appear in only one episode.

Details of the characters are scarce, but Agent Miller is described as "smart" and "smooth," while Agent Einstein is described as "sharp" and "confident." Sharing his excitement to join the show, Amell who has a recurring role as Firestorm on "The Flash" wrote on his Facebook, "I guess the news is out. I'm so excited to be a part of The X-Files reboot!!!"

They will join the original cast members Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny who reprise their roles as Dana Scully and Fox Mulder respectively. The upcoming reboot has also cast Joel McHale as Tad O'Malley, a conservative Internet news anchor who becomes an unlikely ally to Mulder, and Annet Mahendru who stars as Sveta, a possible alien abductee. Kumail Nanjiani and Rhys Darby have landed roles on the show as well, but their characters are still unknown.

The six-episode event series will launch with a two-night premiere on Sunday, January 24 and Monday, January 25 on FOX.
