"The Flash" didn't unveil any footage from season 2 when it participated in Comic-Con International in San Diego last weekend, but a sneak peek at the upcoming installment has now emerged in the form of set photos. The pictures captured the filming at Yaletown's George Wainborn Park in Vancouver, Canada on Tuesday, July 14.

During the production that day, Central City is apparently celebrating a Flash Day with yellow and red ballons as well as Flash Day banners decorating the place. However, a mysterious villain may ruin the celebration. According to YVR Shoots which obtained the photos, Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) alter ego is beaten up by the man in blue mask who wears a dark coat and hood.

An eyewitness also said that there were simulated gun shots. After rehearsing the fight scene, the actor playing the Flash's villain gave a thumbs up. Gustin's co-stars Danielle Panabaker, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton and Carlos Valdes were reportedly on the set as well.

"The Flash" season 2 is set to premiere Tuesday, October 6 on The CW. During the show's panel at Comic-Con, it was announced that Teddy Sears would play Jay Garrick and Shantel VanSanten would star as Patty Spivot, a new love interest for Barry Allen, in season 2. In the DC Comics universe, Garrick is the original Flash, but on the show he is described as "a mysterious figure who arrives in Central City to warn Barry Allen and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs of an impending danger that he alone cannot hope to stop."
