John C. Reilly Officially Returns for 'Ralph Breaks the Internet'
Movie

The actor who voiced the titular character confirmed that he would return to the sequel which will reportedly include other Nintendo characters such as Mario and Luigi.

AceShowbiz - "Ralph Breaks the Internet" seems to be very likely to happen since the first movie was successful, earning over $470 million in worldwide box office. "Wreck-It Ralph" composer Henry Jackman had previously teased that a sequel to the game adaptation was in the works. Recently, new report confirmed that John C. Reilly would return to the animated movie as a voice cast member.

During a film festival in Ireland, Reilly, who voiced Ralph, said that he would return to the sequel. Producer of Irish radio program, Penny Hart, shared the same news on Twitter. "John C Reilly announced at the interview today that he has signed on for Wreck it Ralph 2!" she wrote.

The movie seems to add other Nintendo veteran characters such as Mario, Luigi, Link and Zelda which will possibly share the screen with Ralph & Co. "We'll really come up with something good for Mario to do [in the next film]," said director Rich Moore. "To be able to present him in the sequel, would be great."

Back in 2013, Moore said that he wanted to put one of Disney's properties such as Tron to the film. "Of course, with a sequel, I'm hoping that we can find a way to see Tron himself in that movie," Moore said. He also said that he would take the story to the world of online gaming instead of arcade games for the upcoming movie. "Should we be so lucky to do a sequel, I think it'd be great to explore online gaming, home games," Moore hinted.

There is no exact release date just yet for the movie, but "Ralph Breaks the Internet" is expected to arrive in U.S. theaters in 2017.
