The official title for "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel has been revealed. Director James Gunn confirmed the swirling rumors that the second chapter of the adventure of the Marvel galactic ragtag would be titled "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".
The scoop was first brought out by Collider. According to the site, producer Kevin Feige let it slip during an interview promoting another Marvel movie, "Ant-Man". He said, We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in February-March 2016."
Gunn later confirmed it on Twitter, "Yes, the official title for the @Guardians sequel is GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2. Nice detective work, @colliderfrosty, etc! You got us!" To his followers who were not so convinced, he assured the announcement was legit. "Okay, I'm not being sarcastic, guys. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 IS truly the title," he wrote.

The film is due May 5, 2017 Stateside. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper are back for the sequel. Gunn recently said the new installment would be "more emotional" and explore Star-Lord's parentage. However, the director once said he wanted to stay away from "Earthlings" so Peter Quill would be the main connection between Marvel's cosmic world and the human planet.
