It has been confirmed that Evangeline Lilly will play Hope van Dyne, Dr. Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) daughter, in upcoming superhero movie "Ant-Man". Now, it's revealed that the movie will also feature Hope's mother.

Producer Kevin Feige confirmed it in recent interview with MTV, saying that the upcoming movie would mark live-action debut of Janet van Dyne a.k.a. The Wasp, the insect female superheroine who is married to Pym in the comics. "It factors in in a number of spoilerish ways, but we will see Janet Van Dyne in action in this film, and part of sort of what happened to her," the producer said.

However, Feige noted that fans actually wouldn't get to see Janet's face because it would be hidden behind a helmet that is part of the costume that she wears. He also said that Janet's appearance in the movie would have a large effect for the storyline because she becomes the apparent reason why Pym asks Paul Rudd's Scott Lang to become Ant-Man instead of asking his daughter. Just like Ant-Man, the character is also able to shrink in small size. Additionally, she has the power to fly.

Meanwhile, Feige gave a hint at a possible solo film for Lilly's Hope. "There are things that we see towards the end of the film that indicate she could get one of her own," he said.

Directed by Peyton Reed, "Ant-Man" follows the titular character who has to help his mentor, Pym, to protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Rudd leads the cast which also includes Corey Stoll and Bobby Cannavale. The movie is slated for a release in the U.S. on July 17.
