Caitlyn Jenner is grateful for immense support she has been receiving since her debut on Vanity Fair's cover. The former Olympic athlete took to Twitter to thank fellow trans woman Laverne Cox for her abundant support throughout her transition process.
Admitting Laverne's hard work and beauty, Caitlyn tweeted, ".@LaverneCox, you are fierce and fabulous!" She then thanked the "Orange is the New Black" actress for her continuous support for her as well as for the trans community. "Your support means the world. Thank you for all that you do for the community." The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star ended it with the "#TransIsBeautiful" hashtag.
In exchange for Caitlyn's kind word, the 31-year-old actress tweeted, "My pleasure. Sending you lots of love always." Similar to Caitlyn's post, she also closed her tweet with the "#TransIsBeautiful" hashtag.
The two have been the iconic faces of trans women in the United States. Laverne was among the first trans women to play a major role on American television. She had been fighting so hard to change the image of transgender through her career achievements.
The outspoken LGBT advocate also showed continuous support for Caitlyn since coming out in Diane Sawyer interview. Following Caitlyn's debut on Vanity Fair's cover, she mentioned on a lengthy Tumblr post that Caitlyn looked "amazing and beautiful." However, she also reminded people not to over-emphasizing Caitlyn's physical looks as she wrote, "I think is most beautiful about her is her heart and soul."
