Lifetime has unleashed the first full trailer of its upcoming original movie "A Deadly Adoption", sharing more details of the plotline. In the video, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig receive the good news that they may have found the perfect birth mother for their second child.
They welcome Jessica Lowndes to their house with the hopes of adopting her unborn baby, but the pregnant young woman apparently has ulterior motives. What seems to be a gleam of hope turns into a deadly terror that threatens to tear the family apart as the young woman begins to seduce Ferrell.
Inspired by a true story, "A Deadly Adoption" is a high-stakes dramatic thriller about a successful couple (Ferrell and Wiig) who house and care for a pregnant woman (Lowndes) during the final months of her pregnancy with the hopes of adopting her unborn child. However, she wants more from the couple than they know.
It's directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg and written by Andrew Steele. The TV movie will premiere June 20 at 8 P.M. on Lifetime.
