Murray portrays Richie Lanz, a washed-up rock manager who takes his last remaining client (Zooey Deschanel) on a USO tour of Afghanistan. He tells his client about the crazy plan when they are in a plane heading to Afghanistan. "You will play in front of 2,000 horny soldiers," he tells his client.

Block produces the movie alongside Jacob Pechenik and Steve Bing while the script is written by Mitch Glazer. "Rock the Kasbah" is slated for a release in U.S. theaters on October 23.
