While "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" is currently filming in New York City, there is a rumor about a villainous character that will appear in the film. A source close to production said that classic "TMNT" cartoon villain Krang would make its live-action debut in the second installment of the movie franchise.

It's reported that the Krang scene was filmed last week with some extras spotted on the set. It seems like Krang will enter the Earth via an extra-dimensional portal. The absence of something or someone looking like Krang on set started a speculation that Krang would be presented via computer generated imaging.

On the animated "TMNT" TV series, Krang is a warlord from another dimension called Dimension X. He came to Earth where he met Shredder who provided a robotic body for him in exchange for Krang's high-tech base. Regardless Krang's presence in the sequel, it has been already confirmed that two turtle baddies including Bebop and Rocksteady will be brought to the big screen.

The film will bring back Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, William Fichtner as Eric Sacks and Megan Fox as April O'Neil. Michael Bay returns as a producer while Dave Green ("Earth to Echo") is attached to direct the second chapter. Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec from the first film also return to write the script. The second installment of the film franchise is set fot a U.S. release on June 3, 2016.
