Raising to stardom as an award-winning singer, FKA twigs doesn't feel comfortable with her new found fame, especially when it comes to her romance with boyfriend Robert Pattinson. In an interview with the New York Times, she opened up about how her career has been affected by her love life with the "Twilight" actor.
"It's really hard - I can't begin to explain how awful it is," she said of the constant media scrutiny addressed to her for like 24/7. "It makes you want to just stop everything sometimes. It makes you want to smash your face into the mirror." Despite their high-profile romance, twigs maintained to feel grateful to be with Pattinson, claiming "I didn't see my life going this way at all. But it's worth it. I'm so happy."
twigs went on addressing the social media backlash addressed to her by Pattinson's loyal fans ever since news of their engagement surfaced on various media. "It's relentless," she told the New York Times. "There's no amount of songs I can sing or dances I can dance that will prove to them I'm not a monkey," she furthermore claimed, adding "Nothing can impale my work or make me choose not to say things a certain way or make an image the way I want."
